"Ring" "Ring"

If there ever was a day I was happy I skipped the gym it was last Monday. Had I gone, I would have missed a call of a lifetime. Yes, not just a call but the call I had been waiting for what literally has been years to receive! So happy I skipped the gym, even though I caught some grief from my trainer today. Big news on Aug 17th! Cant wait to share it with you.

Parent Notepads - Just in Case

I am so excited to offer these new Parent Notepads! The idea has been in the back of my mind forever. I always wish I had something like this when I dropped my kids off at camp, play dates, birthday parties etc. They a great for school notes too if you are already preparing for your kids to go back to school.
I used them last week when my kids were going to friend's houses for play dates. It was so easy to tear off a sheet and ensure the parents knew who to call "in case of emergency" or just a question. If your kids have allergies, this is a great way to ensure that special notes are properly communicated.
2 notepad of 50 sheets each are $32.00.  Pads measure 4.25 by 6 inches.

On My Bookshelf

I am not sure where I will find the time to read given all the new order pouring in (thank you, thank you, thank you!!) but when I can find a few spare minutes, here is what is on my "to read next" list.

I already started Q by Evan Mandery and love it. It was recommend by the same person who recommended We Need to Talk About Kevin. The premise is that the main character is visited by his "older self" and is told not to marry his fiance. The writing is fabulous!

I absolutely loved the twists and turns in The Wrong Mother by Sophie Hannah and just received an email from a friend (JB) not to miss reading The Other Woman's House so I picked it up at Target last night.

One Breath Away seems to be a book I kept noticing every time I was at the bookstore. I may have to wait a few months to read this given the subject matter and the recent events in CO.

The Darlings is the first book by Cristina Alger and is getting rave reviews. I haven't met Cristina's but her mom took me on a private tour of the Jackie Kennedy exhibit in NY a few years ago. This looks like a book that will be read in one sitting!

The Red Book by Deborah Kogan - another highly recommended book. "The Red Book" is a class report published every 5 years for Harvard grads. University of VT has no such book .... LOL.

I would by lying if I didn't say I plan to move Where We Belong by Emily Griffin to the top of my list. I have been waiting for months for this book to be released. Emily Griffin is one of my top 10 fav authors.

Please share what you are reading this summer!

A Modern Day General Store

I am obsessed with this new store, Good Westhampton, that opened Memorial Day weekend in Westhampton, NY. I love the concept, it's a Modern Day General Store and boast beautiful "necessities" for the home. I wanted everything in the store and left with bags and arms full of items including these super soft pool towels from Designers Guild, new indoor outdoor rugs by Dash and Albert  and some Havana flip flops for my son. For some reason Washington, DC feels like a vacuum when it comes to great new products to hit the market so I am especially appreciative of a store like this that introduces me to so many new brands.  I made several trip there this weekend as my first trip was rushed with my my kids and Dad saying " You ready yet?". Best part is the candy selection. You guessed it, set up like penny candy in an old general store. Its darling and gives me the opportunity to lure my kids in, even if only for a few minutes!

Cant wait till their web site is ready so I can shop from home in the interim, check out their Facebook Page "Good Westhampton" and take a look at the photos. You will want to visit them too!

Looks like Tiffany isnt the only one with beautiful silver keys! Love this new addition to our image portfolio. I see it looking lovely on a "New Address" card or Correspondence Card, Return Address Label or of course a Valentine's Day Card "Valentine, You Hold  the Key to My Heart."
